Church Electoral Role renewal

Every six years the church Electoral Roll is completely renewed and this is taking place this year. What this means is that even if you are on the existing roll you will need to re-apply.

Being on the Electoral Roll entitles you to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting and serve on the PCC and any other committees. It is also an expression of support for your local church, signifies a sense of belonging to the church and a willingness to be part of the church community. The numbers of people on the Roll are used by the Diocese to assess the strength of support for the local church.

You are entitled to have your name on the roll if you are 16 or over, reside in the parish or are regular worshippers in the church.

The process has now opened and a copy of the formal Notice can be viewed on the church door. The application forms can be obtained from Rev Fred Olney, Tony Staples, Mike Cooper, Joanna Beech or John Stansfeld. Copies are also available in church. You can also download the Notice and application form from the website by following a link on the front page.

To meet the statutory deadline completed forms need to be with Mike Cooper by Friday 29th March.

Thank you for your support.

Joanna Beech – Churchwarden
